Plant Hope
What is Plant Hope?
Plant Hope is an initiative by MBC Action Australia to grow awareness, support, and community for people living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC). Like a garden, our strength grows when we nurture it together.
At the heart of the campaign are our Plant Hope gloves. By planting seeds, tending gardens, and wearing purple, we honour those we’ve lost, support those living with MBC, and work toward a future of better treatments and outcomes. Each pair of gloves represents awareness, support, and hope taking root in our community.
Angela’s story
Angela believed in finding simple, meaningful ways to bring people together and raise awareness of metastatic breast cancer. She dreamed up the idea of purple gloves as a symbol of hope—something anyone could connect with, share, and grow with.
Angela sadly passed away in December 2024, but through Plant Hope we honour her vision and continue planting hope for everyone living with MBC.
Plant Hope Gloves
Join us in planting hope. Purchasing a pair of Plant Hope gloves is a simple way to show your support - every pair sold helps raise awareness and funds for people living with MBC.
You can also register to host a Plant Hope Garden Party, bringing together friends, family, or colleagues to plant, connect, and collect donations. Together, we honour those we’ve lost, support those living with MBC, and work toward a future of better treatments and outcomes.
Host a Plant Hope Garden Party
Bring people together for a cause that matters. Hosting a Plant Hope Garden Party is a beautiful way to raise awareness and funds while creating moments of connection. Whether you host in your backyard, workplace, or community space, your event will help Plant Hope grow across Australia.
When you register, you’ll receive access to fundraising resources to make it simple - including poster and social media tiles. Gather your community, plant something meaningful, and be part of a movement that supports those living with MBC.
